I think my activities are primarily focused on my possible majors.

do I have a "chance" ? i know my UW gpa isn't fabulous, but i'm going into an art related field, do you really think 3.4 is going to affect my chance?

At CMU, the grades are secondary to the portfolio and professional promise. They will also want to interview you. My D was accepted to both Fine Arts and Drama departments with similar stats, but she had two summers of college level art programs and incredible recommendations from the drama department at hs, including leadership position as paint crew lead two years. She chose to go into the Drama design program and was practically straight A's. CMU is a very intense conservatory program, so be sure it is what you really want to do.

congrats to your d!
