<p>Hi! Where are you from?</p>

<p>Your ECs are great, especially going into CompSci, but your biggest hurdle is going to be that CR score and then, I’m guessing at least, the essay. It’s very hard to get in if the admissions committee isn’t convinced you can handle the reading and writing. What’s your hook/what do you think you’ll write your essay about?</p>

<p>You’ve certainly distinguished yourself, just be aware that international admissions in particular are really competitive and there’s almost nothing you can do to guarantee admission, so apply to lots of schools RD!</p>

<p>I’m planning to write essay about my experience in South Africa.</p>

<p>I had lived in SA for year and half and found my destiny from there.</p>

<p>It might be my hook for essay.</p>

<p>I acknowledge the weakness of my CR part but I tried my best shot :frowning: </p>

<p>Since my first language is not english, it was hard to find the “feeling of author”</p>

<p>So to prove my fluent in reading, i’m going to submit Toefl. </p>

<p>I’m going to take SAT one more time for WR so that I can get 2200+ for superscore </p>

<p>BTW, should I get recommendation from my bosses or researcher from IBM who I knew from 11 yo ?</p>
