@Adwaya schools with similar cost and rankings to SD School of Mines are CUNY City College, Wichita State, Wright State, University of Memphis, Cleveland State, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, and University of Wyoming. They all are going to be $2K to $4K per yr cheaper than Iowa State (i.e., tuition & fees + room & board between $24K and $27K per year … need to add books and travel and athletic season tickets etc). Note that UW is a top 15 engineering school, while all of these schools are ranked between 100 and 150. Iowa State is top 40 and U of MN is top 25.
