<p>Im an international student applying from venezuela, my stats are the following.
SAT: 2000... 710M 710V 580W
SAT II: Math I--740 Math II--730 PHYSICS--800
GPA: Translates to about a 3.9 unweighted
Class Rank: 4/160 in one of the top private highschools
Teacher Recs: They will honestly be excellent
Courses: The school system in my country does not offer AP or honors or anything of the sort but my courseload by my graduation date will be:
5 years of Math, Literature, Biology, English (as a foreing language), PE,
4 years of Venezuelan history
3 years of Physics, Chemistry Geography, Architectural drawing, Computing, and Military Studies, art,
1 year of Health, Civil education, world history, Earth Sciences, Psicology, Economy.
Plus a two semester online AP Calculus course
My ECs are:
Soccer, volleyball, swiming, CEL (sort of boy scouts), Tutoring and around 70 hours of comunity service</p>

<p>The schools i will be applying to and woul like your honest opinion on my chances are:
Georgia Tech
University of Florida
University of Michigan
Carnegie Mellon
University of Illinois Urbana Champaing
Notre dame
Purdue
Rice
Boston University</p>

<p>by the way I forgot to state it above, i would be applying por Engineering and I dont know if it makes a differebce but I wont apply for need based aid</p>

<p>I wont pretend to know a lot about most of the schools on your list… however, since you ARE an international student, that makes your pool muuuch more competitive. Your SAT score is barely cutting it for some of the more select schools on your list, but your GPA is great/courseload is very rigorous. The only thing I would say is that your ECs seem kind of weak…any awards or anything?</p>

<p>Reach for UMich, Carnegie, Purdue, Rice, and Boston. The others should be low reaches/high matches.
