I am currently a high school senior and am hoping to major in finance if I get into one of the business schools from the universities listed above. Here are my high school stats:
Rank:46/312
GPA:4.1356 our of a 5.00 scale
SAT:1370/1600—690 reading and writing 680 math
AP Courses: Biology, Chemistry, United States History, Statistics, and Probability, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, Physics, Government and Politics, Computer Science Principles, Calculus AB
The rest of my academic courses are honors classes except for Spanish being advanced
Extracurriculars: Key club-Treasurer, National Honors Society, Leadership club-Public relations officer, Volunteered at the local hospital for 4 years, History club-Photographer, Academic team, volunteer at the local red cross.
I’d greatly appreciate if you could weigh in on if I can or cannot get into the business programs at the schools listed above!
CHANCE ME plz- NYU Stern, Villanova University, Boston College, Boston University, Fordham, Cornell?
Do you have your unweighted GPA? Your SAT score is what makes you not as competitive for your reach schools, but I think you definitely have a chance for Fordham, Villanova, and BU. However, you definitely need some safety schools. What are you state flagships? Some “safety” business programs (besides you state business programs, which could very much be great) for you would include Miami University (Ohio), Virginia Tech, Bentley.
Other business programs you might like…maybe Babson, Northeastern, Indiana @ Bloomington.
Cornell - Reach
Boston College - Reach
NYU Stern - Reach
Boston University - Match (SAT score is exactly average)
Fordham - Match
Villanova - Match
Good luck!
My school does not provide me with an unweighted GPA:(. My state school is Rutgers University, and I have already applied there and believe that i will be able to get into their business program. I am most probably gonna be attending Rutgers because it’s more afforable for my family and has a business program that is decent for the tuition. However, if i get accepted into one of the universities above and am given substantial financial aid i’d rather go there instead. Thank you for your input!
@tripletripno
I’d apply to Rowan They have a brand new business school building, growing and thriving campus, and give out $$merit aid. For your scores, you’d probably get at least 10K a year, perhaps more.
