Any Ivy League is pretty hard to get into, especially for those that have not been consistent with their school grades since Freshmen year. You began with a 3.0 and increased gradually, which is awesome! Unfortunately, there are many of those who apply to Ivies with 4.0 and stayed consistent. Consequently, your essays must be outstanding in order for the Ivies to grant you admission as well as your recommendations. By the way, I love your ACT score. Please chance me back http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1055796-chance-me-please.html</a></p>

Wow, nice 36 on the ACT! Good upward GPA trend, though unweighted GPA could be pulled up to a 4.0 since it tends to be more important than weighted. Needless to say, good workload with all 5s in AP-very impressive. Fantastic EC’s (truly awesome) and I like that you can speak 2 foreign languages.

You have a SOLID shot at those schools, though Ivies are reaches/low-reaches (but they are for everyone!)

someone other than the OP chance me back (they already chanced me hehe): http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1056729-condensed-concise-profile-chance-me-please.html#post1066128216</a> it’ll be quick and painless LOL

You have a better shot at Princeton than Harvard because they don’t see Freshman grades

You should have no real problems except for harvard, Princeton, and Stanford which are reaches for anyone

fellow broski, may it be noted that it is unchill to correct another bro’s spelling preference of the abbreviation of natural light.

also, you’ve got some incredible stats. My high school and town sucks, so i don’t have any opportunities for ECs or camps or anything. You’ve got some good shizz, and the upward trend could work to your advantage.

good luck mane

I’m not going to do the reach/high reach/match stuff, I’ll just tell you what I think. Also, please don’t be offended by what I have to say about anything.

-Stanford - Ehh, I’d expect a waitlist/reject, just cause of the freshmen year GPA.

-Harvard - No use chancing this really, it’s Harvard. Who knows how they accept their undergrads, as people with perfect scores get rejected while 2100/3.8s can get in.

-Princeton - Possible shot at Princeton because I’ve heard(not 100% sure) that they don’t consider freshmen year grades. Maybe around 25% (Above average acceptance, so it’s looking good)

Notre Dame - I think you have a great chance of getting in.

UChicago - It depends on how they like your extracurriculars. Last year, we had a kid with a 2340, Sal of the class, above average extracurriculars get rejected, and they told him they considered his ECs “weak”.

UPenn - IN or waitlist, I wouldn’t expect them to flat out reject you. It is an Ivy League, so the unpredictability of such schools are awful.

UMD College Park - IN

-UVA - Most likely in, but I’ve heard of people with 2350s OOS get rejected. It’s cutthroat for out of state students (assuming you are). I’d say you certainly have a better chance than I do, and I’m in-state :P

-U of Michigan, Ann Arbor - IN.

I wish I had your AP scores/ACT… haha. Congratzzzz on getting that 36, such a beast score haha.

I think you have a high chance of getting into all but three of the schools you are applying to. All the public schools you are in, and the private schools are as guaranteed as one could have it. Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton are fickle, and it’s nearly impossible to predict their decisions, but you definitely have one of the better shots out of students applying. Everything on here is outstanding, your GPA could be higher but coming from a really competitive high school and your increased performance should null that for the most part.

Just FYI, Stanford also does not take into consideration freshman year.

-Stanford: High Reach
harvard: High Reach
Princeton: Reach (they don’t look at first year grades)
notre dame: high match
uchicago: low reach
upenn: low reach
umd college park: In
-UVA: high match
-U of Michigan, Ann Arbor: match

It will be an interesting process for you given the GPA issues your 1st and 2nd year. Its too late but I would have added a bunch of schools like Duke, Northwestern, WashU, and Rice to make the bet more secure. Good news is if doesn’t work out the way you want you’ll be a great transfer candidate.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1057874-ucla-berkeley-stanford-chances.html</a> please chance back!!

Stanford (high match/more of a low reach)
harvard (mid reach)
Princeton (mid/high reach)
notre dame (mid/high match)
uchicago (high match)
upenn (low reach)
umd college park (no idea what it is so im assuming probably in the low match high safety zone)
UVA (mid/high match)
U of Michigan, Ann Arbor (definite safety)

the reason im calling them all like high matches or low safeties is because theyre all so unpredictably rigorous with their admissions. i mean i think you have a VERY reasonable shot amongst all of them and you have a great application, much more impressive than your average applicant to those schools. just you never know!!

Sorry bud but I think with that GPA combined with those incredible test scores colleges will assume that you are talented but lazy.

Stanford high match!!! hahaha I know a kid with a 4.0 uw gpa 15 AP’s all 5’s combined with a 2400 single sitting ACT that got denied from Stanford. (Got into Harvard though…)
