@jobuddy you do have a chance at the ivies. The 2200 on the SATs is good and you have excellent SAT II scores. 88% is good according to indian standards and you should just hope that they have a good grasp of the indian education system and I am sure that they do. You have some amazing awards and scholarships and your freelance work sounds very very unique for an Indian (which is good).

But do bear in mind that these are the ivies. Everyone who applies is amazing and the competition is seriously huge. I am not saying that you wont get in!!! All I am trying to say is that no one on earth knows who will get in. No one knows how they choose! Besides your amazing stats, the deciding factor will be the passion you put into your essays. That is where they get to know what you are as a person. Your essays, teacher and counsellor recommendations are probably the ones that can help set you apart from others with similar or better stats. If you think you did justice to your essay, that is good! all you can do now is wait and watch.

I feel Drexel is a sure shot for you. Cornell and Rice: a good chance. the other ivies, Stanford and MIT: no one can tell man!

Just concentrate on you JEE now. I know we cant help worry about the admission decisions but the application has been submitted and that is it. And remember, the Ivies are not the be all and end all. All the Best for your JEE and just chill! :P
