note: updated info:
GPA: 3.58 UW, 4.3 W (upward trend)
SAT: (really low taking it again: probably going to get 2000) rite now: W 550 R 550 M 650
ACT: still have to take!
Rank in school: top 10%
SAT IIs : Chem 670, Bio: 720, Math: 740</p>

<p>APs by the end of senior year i would have taken: 10
scores: Chem: 4, Psych: 2, AB clac: 5, u.s.h: 4, bio: 5
IBs taken by end of senior year: 4
Really tough school schedule! Toughest classes offered by school!</p>

<p>ECs
Basketball 1 year
Tennis 1 year
Community service 100+ hrs at religious institution
member of many clubs (no positions!! should i get one?? its kind of too late)
And part of a 4 year medicine magnet at school
Cpr trained , red cross club...... falls under this medical magnet program we do medicine oriented stuff....
AP scholar w/ honors
Nominated as whos who among high school students
nominated for other stuff too i got in the mail (like same stuff as the one above)
Also participated in Speech Contest
Math Team as well
I participate in math competations
note: i am a member of many other multiple clubs! should i mention them!</p>

<p>As of right now, you're a slight reach/reach. You'll need to pull up your SAT over 2000 to be more competitive. Good luck!</p>

<p>I agree with UCLA, avg. SATs at Cal are around 2070. ECs are nothing special, so if you can do something more unique, that would help. Good luck! Oh yeah, work on GPA; avg. unweighted is 3.93.</p>

how about ACT?
and those are just averages..... but i get the idea.</p>

<p>You can definitely keep the ACT as an option. Do you think you could do better on it than the SAT?</p>

<p>u mean 2000 (thats my predicted score i think i will get for SAT i took in OCT) i mite take it again Nov. If i get lucky and study my vocab i think i can get a 2200 and thats pushing it.</p>

<p>I would focus on the SAT. You need a much higher score than that. Trying to pad your application with ECs isn't going to make the difference, I don't think.</p>

<p>take the ACT. Personally, I did much better on that w/o even studying, probably a difference of 100 pts higher on the SAT. And focus on those essays!</p>

<p>You're pretty firmly around the slight reach category now. Maybe still on the borderline of reach.</p>

<p>You may consider transferring if you don't get in the traditional way, as your coursework doesn't seem to be your weak point.</p>

<p>1810 will certainly get you into a few UCs... don't despair.</p>

<p>Berkeley: reach</p>

<p>The average UW GPA is 3.8-3.9, and your GPA is quite a bit below that, and your SATs fall below the average, too. Your ECs are average, as are your honors/awards.</p>

<p>how do you have a 3.58 uw and a 4.3 w.....is that even UC capped?</p>
