Hey how do you link your title? And yes, I'll chance you. And chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/590938-your-application-has-been-submitted.html <---that's mine. And please teach me how to link my title to the page!

These are the ones I'm very sure about
Emory - Def. a reach...I suggest get your SAT's up to at least high 1900's to stand a chance....
Vanderbilt - Reach
Northwestern - Big reach
U of Chicago - Also big reach
Amherst -Also also big reach

However, with your ethnicity, Emory and Vanderbilt will be more of High matches. But if you want to be sure retake SAT's and/or ACT's
Good Luck

tsh1226, all you do is look on your statistics page or on a thread that you already posted and look for the link that you want to paste. Right click on it and say copy link location and the when you paste, it will paste the link and voila!!

Also what are my chances for RICE!!! I want that school so much!!!

above williams will be reaches, try to retake the sat and write a kick ass essay. the ones below are in fosho.

gl and thanks

bummpppp

I have taken the SATs twice and seen no significant improvement. I am considering the ACT and maybe the SAT again in December but I really want Rice and it is too late to improve my scores. If you guys dont think that I will get in then maybe I should but if not, would it be a waste of money???

thanks for the chances, we're applying to a lot of the same schools!

seems like you overcame a lot. The URM status will help you a lot too.

RICE ED: pretty sure you'll get in. yay!

Northwestern: low reach
U of Chicago: low reach
Amherst: reach
Williams: reach

thank you esoteradactyle, you make me feel good. I was thinking along those lines but I could not be sure. I might drop some of the LACs and just keep Claremont and Pomona.
And, Vanderbilt sends me something nearly EVERYDAY!!! Is that a good sign that they want me???

I think you've got a fair/good shot at all your schools. The fact that you're a URM with good SAT scores helps. Also, you're involved w/ your ministry which shows in your EC activities.

Your individual background helps also, and your essays should do a good job showing it.

You've got it all, just hope for the best now.

Good luck

edit: i say you're in for Rice ED, but im no fortune teller

I don't know that much about Rice, but looking through your stat, I think you stand a great chance.

You have a good stat(might not be overly outstanding like those few here on CC) and a very good hook for the colleges to accept you. It would probably help a lot if you could raise your SAT score.

Rice ED - see above
Emory - in
Vanderbilt - match
Northwestern - low reach
U of Chicago - high match/low reach
Amherst - reach
Williams - reach

Hmm, well I know you're getting tons of different responses. I'd say, don't be overly confident but be sure to use your ethnicity and your improvement to your advantage. I'm sure you'll get in a lot of places, and you have great EC's.
