<p>I agree with esopteradactyl. If you've written at least one poignant essay which deals with what you had to overcome, you stand a chance, despite your test scores, of getting into some very selective schools. That plus being a URM makes you very likely to get into Rice ED, for one! :D</p>

Id almost say its 50/50, but im right will you on the unwieghted gpa(with a ton of honors classes) it always makes me nervous to see how it will affect my chances </p>
