Chance me! PLZ!!

i applied UCB for Econ major, and UCLA for Business Economics
i hope anyone who got experience can chance me for this two! thanks

GPA(included Fall 08): 3.753 (semester)

will complete the IGETC before end of Spring 09
total transferable units by the end of Spring 09 will be 61.5 units
have a Decent Personal Statement (idk but many instructor say it is a good one)
i got a B and C on my Macro and Micro Econ Classes(the part i worry most><")
and got a B on my freshmen English composition Requirement Class,
rest of my classes(including the major per. and GE) are A.
don't have many E/C but i have many work experiences, also wrote on my essay, like work at UPS as a customer service manager...etc.

hope the info. i provided are detail enough....
thanks!!!!

i’d call it a coin flip at best.

Um yeah why do you want to major in econ if you got a B and C in both econ classes. That is going to kill your chances imo. But maybe im wrong, gl.

hmm… seems like an okay shot

A B and a C in the classes with you major in the title? Not sure about that. :(

^^^that is actually a legitimate concern that can hinder your chances. i dont think grey is kidding.

eeeek… b+c in micro/macro at ccc? do you really like econ? ie, emphasized it in your essay? if so, you might have a good chance. otherwise, it might be a long shot. your premajor gpa is gonna weigh heavily.

thanks everyone!!

i had a friend that had a 3.9 n didn’t get into either with the same major. i suppose it was bc his essay wasn’t as great as it couldve been

a shot in the dark i’d say… your only saving grace now would be your personal statements depending on how good it is

my personal statement is pretty good. at least every counselor say it is pretty good. so… IDK!!

Hey,

I’m an econ major too! I got a B in calc and I’m concerned. . . so I’m going to say your B and C in the two required econ classes may cause you your chances. Especially since biz econ acceptance rate for LA is like… 14% or something. But your GPA is around the averageee… but I’m going to say they weigh more heavily on your pre-req grades than they do on your GE grades. But! who knows :]
