Everything except SAT score is all right…EC’s are great. But the SAT might pull you down. Although you have said that language is your problem it reiterates the fact that learning in the States might be a problem as medium of instruction there is English…

Why did you not apply to Cornell…A TATA scholarship would’ve been great…??
– Experience
Applied this year (New Delhi,India)

I have applied to cornell

Cool !.. what universities you have applied ??

MIT, Cornell, UColumbia, UPenn (<—My main choices are these two) and have also applied to Georgia Tech.
Awaiting all decisions.

Hmmm!..best of luck …bro… you have my list

Do comment people… Plzzzz

What’s your writing score and math and Cr breakup? Your cumulative math and Cr are definately low atleast for the first 8… your ecs seem good, after all founding the students council is no small deal…
BTW, dont your top 7( not sure about usc) require atleast a 100 in your toefl especially since your Cr is probably low?

No… I have selected colleges according ly… they don’t require any TOEFL cutoffs…
Universities like Yale or uchiacago have their TOEFL cut off as…
Division
C.r. 430
Maths 720
Writing 480…
Wyatt ate my chances in Skidmore

Skidmore is a low reach for you. Your SAT is a tad bit low for the colleges you aim for. Couple this with a demand for financial assistance = colleges looking unfavorably upon you unfortunately.

It’s along the corner… hopeful only one!!!

Your CR and W is exceptionally low, but I guess many people told you that already, If possible, just try retaking it scoring 600+ on CR and W and 750+ on Maths and you’ll pretty much be guaranteed acceptance at half of the list. Also, How much assistance you need? (That’d also be a factor for most schools on your list) Best of Luck

I am not in a situation of retaking, my finals are in 4 days, decisions will arrive within 15-20 days… So let’s see what happens… If not… Then I may apply to some state universities… Or try for the next spring ,
My family can afford a max of 15-20k$ per annum after taking loans…
Any universities you think with rolling admission … worth this stats…

Twin cities and U Of Arkansas are known for giving out in state fees for exceptional international students, Twin Cities’ out of state fee is quite low (around 18k), and it’s aerospace engg program is quite good.
