<p>Please take the time to chance me - I would really appreciate it</p>

<p>I am a middle-eastern male rising senior who plans to major in engineering or possibly business. If I choose to major in engineering I am thinking of going into computer science, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.</p>

Tufts-somewhat of a reach
Cal Berkeley-big reach
Cornell-big reach
Stanford-Huge reach (interview & early decision)</p>

<p>Obviously some of the above are reaches and I will have a low chance, but I would still appreciate a chance of some sort for all, and maybe some advice that could possibly help me when writing my applications. Not to be cocky, but I have really good writing skills, so my essays will be of really high quality. Also, if anyone knows of some other engineering/business schools in my acceptance range that I should also apply to feel free to post it/them.</p>

<p>I hate to say it, but your ECs are not very strong. Your internships are your strongest point and those should be stressed in your essays. Also, your test scores aren’t strong enough for those reach schools you listed. Lift them up to 2150+ and your chances go up huge amounts.</p>

<p>Write some excellent essays and UCLA, Tufts, and Berkeley are achievable. I think Cornell and Stanford are a shot in the dark.</p>

<p>Also, what do you define as “good ec’s” because I have talked to many people and my ec’s outweigh any other aspect of my application other than my internship. FIRST Robotics racked up roughly over 525 hours over three years, and you participate in FBLA so you know how that is. SGA was about 150 hours over the course of three years. Key club was roughly 100 hours over two years so far.</p>

<p>I was wondering exactly what are some examples of some really good ec’s? I am curious.</p>
