The thing with BS/MD programs for various colleges is that their acceptance rates are literally around 2 or 3%. With that being said, your GPA and ACT score should impress them, and your extracurriculars are strong. I think you have a good chance at all of these schools. Good luck! Maybe chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2006193-chance-me-please.html#latest

I think you have a good chance at any of the schools regular program wise. The high ivies (Harvard, Princeton) are always a crapshoot. You’re certainly qualified but it’s almost random sometimes. I knew a girl with a 100 unweighted GPA who was captain of two Varsity sports, President of several clubs, a childhood cancer survivor, and ran her own charity who didn’t get into Princeton. I think you are a strong competitor at the U Miami HPM program. The other two are worth applying to definitely, but it’s just so hard to get into them in general.

@thalaya @sparkykoolkat Thank you both for you responses, I really appreciate them! I think you both hit the analysis spot on with you responses!

@lihas99 Penn LSM has a level of admissions difficulty similar to Harvard/Stanford – it is beyond a crapshoot. But when you apply you can designate as your second choice one of the schools at Penn. So if you do not get into LSM, you will be considered for admission to just Penn CAS or Wharton (depending on which one you choose).

You definitely are competitive enough for all of these schools but given that they are pretty much the top schools in the country, you can never be too sure of the outcome.

Amazing academics and strong ecs. I think that if you have good essay and recs you are definately competitve for all those schools! Just make sure to add some safer ones in your list, just in case. Good luck! Maybe chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2005601-how-can-i-have-an-actual-chance-please-enter.html#latest

You’ve got a good shot at getting into at least one of those schools if not several. A good as shot as any. Coming from Vanderbilt 2020

You should be okay. Your medical ECs are strong (the others are weak and fluffy) but otherwise I think you’ll be looked upon favorably

Academically you’ve done well and EC’s aren’t bad but the HYPSM/HPME/PLME tier programs will be tough. You should be a decent shape for the JHU/Vandy/HPM level. I think it’s a good strategy to highlight non-math/science interests since there will be enough of your demographic represented in science majors.
