Chance me (pretty low GPA, decent SATs, etc.)

Applied to the following colleges:
UDel - First choice
UConn
RPI
WPI - If it helps, my brother (sophomore) is on the Dean's List taking grad courses.
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Stony Brook
Temple (forgot about that one)

HS GPA: 2.9-3.0. Rising trend each year, especially from 9th grade where it was a 2.2.
Senior Mid-Terms: 3.8 GPA
Course rigor: No APs, 9 or 10 honors courses throughout HS
ECs: Very weak, only 3 things I've really done: Baseball 9-12, Golf 9-12, German Club 9-12
SATs: 1210/1600 (670 M, 540 CR); 1830/2400 (620 W)

Some helpful info:
4 years of German (5 incl. 8th grade)
3 years of Math (which I think is gonna break a lot of deals w/ colleges)
4 years of Science

I believe I wrote a pretty sweet essay, though. I've had multiple adults proofread it for errors.

Resident of Pennsylvania.

UDel - Good chance with your SAT score
UConn - Depends on class rank but out of state + low GPA = small chance
RPI - Reach
SUNY Binghamton - maybe (high match low reach)
SUNY Stony Brook - maybe (high match low reach)
Temple - decent chance (match)

If I was you here is what I would do.

Go to a lower level college or community college.

Get a high GPA there (3.5)

Transfer to a better school, maybe UConn.

Temple’s a match.

Glad I probably have at least that to fall back on

RPI reach
Sunies High matches

sunys will like you cause you’re oos and they need money, though bing and sb are 2 of the most competitive sunys. maybe apply to a different one?

Wow I have almost the exact same stats and top choice.

UDel - low reach - my top choice too.
UConn - reach - parents didn’t let me apply because they said I wouldn’t get in
RPI - reach
Binghamton - reach
Stony Brook - match - I applied too
Temple - match
WPI - match

In terms of odds, is “low reach” more likely to get accepted than “high reach?” I never understood this.

Also, the two things I’m really concerned with are my GPA, and the fact that I’ve only taken three math courses, highest being trig. I think this may totally screw me over.

Bumpity .

Bump .

Just received an acceptance letter from SUNY Binghamton :)
