I am in the business as they say and think, yes you are a viable candidate, it will depend on the applicant pool. For NESCAC's..noone is a safety. Colby, in the last year (and more I think, has recruited a few Indian nationals from a school over there, obviously an iniative of some sort. So, float an app there, but also at the other NESCAC's where you may stand out more, in theory.
also, visit, visit, visit...if you can..
hope this helps, good luck!
also, for a safe..try st mikes..great living honors program is very good.

You look like a great match for Colby. Your ECs are really strong, particularly your focus on theater and Indian dance, the latter of which sets you apart.

I also know that Colby has been working hard to increase diversity in many ways on campus. So do visit and interview if you can, you seem to have just the well-rounded interests the school is seeking out. Best of luck!

Thanks to those who responded... and i did visit campus (which is beautiful!!) and interviewed... the thing i'm worrying about is my SAT I scores mainly... i know they don't really evaluate the writing section, so, in theory my score is really 1380, which i know couldn't be a good thing... eh...

I wouldn't worry too much about your SATs. You are within the median for all applicants, so your SATs are not going to get in the way. Colby is truly interested in the whole applicant, and you have a great profile.
