hello! i'm a rising senior from san jose, california and i'm considering cal. without further adieu, here are my stats:

GPA (counting only sophomore and junior years):
3.7ish UW, 4.2ish W; i'm in the 20th percentile if that matters lol and it's because of my 2.7s in freshman year
senior year courses: ap calc bc, ap stat, ap chemistry, ap us gov, ap eng lit

TESTING:
sat reasoning: 2000 (700 math WOW, 700 writing, 600 cr) 1st try, being optimistic and hoping for 2300 next try
sat subjects: 1) math2-800, 2) physics-770, 3) us history-750
ap: calc ab-5, physics b-5, us history-5, eng lang-4; only took aps in junior year
act: 30 composite

EC:
did some community service with interact club, and am a chair of californians for justice (caljustice.org), MATH CLUB PRESIDENT HEHE

yeah, so i made some bad decisions in high school, but on the bright side there's this upward trend with my gpa though cal admissions (i'm thinking) aren't too cognizant and/or caring. thanks so much for taking the time to look at my thread.

i'd say u gotta shot, they don't look @ ur frosh grades. good test scores...as long as your doing things that make you feel good and make you happy, put those feelings and your personality across on your essay.

i think you should try and pick up a few more ECs. Your reasoning score seems a bit low given your subject tests, and i really doubt you are going to raise them 300 points, unless you were sick or something on that day and could've gotten a 2100. Otherwise, i'm pretty sure you won't. either way though, you are a match/slight reach in my opinion, given avg. GPA and ECs. good luck though, you can do it!

dood c'mon, 2000 is a high score, i only got a 1940. get some more EC's but dont'do a thing because you think it'll get you into a school, do it because you really love it, and write about it truthfully, if you're articulate enough, and start on your essay early, you can get that across on your essay it'll make for a better shot.
i say u gotta decent shot, better than most people.
