_Asian in suburban town in New York
_Top 3% of class of 322 (public high school).
_All honors and/or AP except for math classes
_unweighted average is 95. 574 (school does not weight).
_AP Scholar with Honor, National Honor Society officer
_Rotary Club Youth Leadership Award

APs: 3 in Chem, 5's in both U.S. and World History, 4 in English Language and Composition.

SATs: 2230: 800 CR, 780 W, 650 M. (essay was a 10.)
ACTs: 31 composite: (36 English, 28 math, 27 Science, 32 Reading.)
These total scores are all my highest combined.

Subject Tests: Lit 710, US History 710, French 580 (hear the detonation of a bomb?)
Retook December test in Literature as one final (possible) boost.

Extracurriculars/Community service:

_student of quarter-year in art, had art displayed in local high school juried exhibitions, had art published in regional high school talent journal, helped to paint murals throughout own school district and local soup kitchen and hospital.

_My only distinguishing factor is my art portfolio (I've sent 10 pieces via CD). No one else can copy me there! My portfolio is especially significant in my app because I listed my first-choice major as art. My second choice is English.

Thanks for your time!

Your ACT is a little low but it's not like it's bad.

Your extracurriculars could be more diversified, but the fact that you're passionate about art is a plus.

You're a competitive candidate, but so are thousands of others. Stats are nver predictive of acceptance or not. You could get in, you might not get in. Either way, good luck with your decision!

Stats are average-below average. "anti-hooks" of ORM and New Yorker significant too. Art EC is nice, but unless it will really wow the adcom/reviewers, i dont think your local awards will. Stats + ECs are pretty good predictors. I would say 10-20% chance of getting in.
