<p>low-income asian male (guess these two factors neutralize each other? probably not)</p>

<p>grades:
rank 120/950 or so, gpa 3.60 UW, 3.93 W (crazy, amazing upward trend--went gradually from 2.6 freshman year to a weighted 4.6 jr year)</p>

<p>currently taking: ap us gov&pol, ap calc bc, ap stat, ap chem, ap eng lit; will be taking third-year calculus in a month</p>

<p>tests:
2130 reasoning (620 cr, 780 math, 730 writing)
800 math level 2, 780 physics, 750 us history
ap: 5 calc ab, 5 us hist, 5 physics b, 4 eng lang</p>

<p>ecs:
math club (11-12) president
californians for justice (10-12) campaign committee chair
interact club (9-12)--community service</p>

<p>recs:
really good rec from calculus/physics/statistics teacher who's been teaching at my high school for 35 years
another good rec from another teacher (stanford graduate) who makes me look like the us history god</p>

<p>essays:
should be thoughtful. i write pretty well, but i'm not sure if the content will stand out</p>

<p>basically i did really well in my junior year (and am continuing to do so) with tests and stuff relative to other students at my school. was only student in my calc class and apush classes to score 5s on the exams. i'm not sure if this'd be much of a hook though.</p>

<p>dude, no offense, but if i can’t get in, you can’t get in. all you got is a good courseload and that’s it.</p>

<p>scores are good so it all depends on how involved with your EC’s you are. do you have any other passion than academics? make sure your essays show your personality and don’t give up, no matter how many people seem more amazing than you. stanford wants to see depth and from your post you can bring them that.</p>
