hahaha can’t wait, man

OOHHH internet tough guy smackdown.

Look. No one is a lock for and Ivy. It is essentially not debatable. Thousands of kids just like you and with your stats are going to get denied from Ivy’s this year and in the future. For many reasons, lots of kids are attracted to the Ivy’s. In order to remain competitive, they need to have a low acceptance rate. ITs just the way it is. You very well might get into one, two or all of the schools you applied to. There is just as good of a chance of getting denied by them all. Your a good student, no doubt about that. But if you go in with the attitude that you have ( the "I know in getting into Harvard because of my gpa/sat’s/ curing disease while simultaneously playing a trumpet solo at Carnegie Hall/ ect…), you are setting yourself up for nearly guaranteed disappointment.

Lily, do you have a good college counselor? Usually at top schools you would.

You should apply to the Huntsman program at Wharton, it’s probably the best IR program out there because it lets you graduate with 2 degrees (not just 2 majors), from one of the top schools in the nation

I hope you are not this arrogant in your applications. Otherwise, you have a good shot into at least one of HYP. I would personally pick Yale for IR - their law school is top-notch and they are renowned in the humanities.

you’re obviously smart and talented but everyone is who applies to these schools. nobody likes a boaster. yeah you have a good shot but chill out cause you can’t be sure. good luck

transferring into wharton is just based on a GPA cutoff

@cornellbel, iceui2: LOL I swear I’m not this boastful in my real life. That said, my school is a bastion of crazy competitive kids and my friends (yes I do have friends) are just as competitive and “boastful” as I am, if not more.

Thanks for the suggest of Wharton - astonmartinDBS: do you know what the GPA cutoff is? I applied to the regular college rather than Wharton specifically.

You are competitive, but not remarkably so, for top schools. Look at last year’s results threads on the HYPetc boards last year–brutal.

Sorry, I didn’t really want to bring this up, but I think that the OP’s apparent misunderstanding of the term Pacific Islander throughout this thread is a kind of irritating. You are not Pacific Islander unless you are Hawaiian, Samoan, Micronesian, Tongan, etc. If you were adopted from an area that is geographically within the region that Cambodia falls in (as you claimed earlier), you are definitely not Pacific Islander. Thus, if you were adopted from Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, etc, you are not a Pacific Islander.

How on earth can UVA be your safety school???
And honestly, you can’t just expect that all these ivies are going to cry at your sob story and let you in.
Granted, you are a competitive applicant but seriously if the schools you’re applying to saw your snotty little im-better-than-anyone-else-and-everyone-should-feel-sorry-for-me-because-I-had-tough-background story they would reject you.

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend this is all real. I wouldn’t bet you’ll get in to any of the schools besides (most likely) UVA and Georgetown. Ivies are always a crapshoot, and while you are competitive, no doubt, you are by NO MEANS guaranteed a place, and if you truly are this pretentious in person, the interview and essays may just **** you over Good luck either way, but I wouldn’t be too hopeful.

just so you know - the top Ivy League schools reject hundreds of 4.0, 2400 SAT students with tons of volunteer activities every year. like SillyStokey92 said, they’re always a crapshoot. you cannot get such an arrogant mindset that your going to get in. you may very well be accepted, but don’t assume so and don’t carry this attitude into the interviews

I happened to be going through my posts (looking for something else, but this caught my eye as I remembered this thread) - where’d you get in? Where are you going next year?

dumbasses, all of you, you’re just feeding a ■■■■■, 4 pages worth.

@lilyjames: I am truly curious! where did you get in/where are you going next year? you seem like an match for all of the schools you are interested in applying too!

Judgement Day, you are a legend.

trollllllllll

I realize I am being hypocritical, but stop giving him the time of day by commenting.

He is a ■■■■■.
