Is the 86 weighted or unweighted? An 86 equates to about a 3.4 gpa, which is below the 25th percentile for university park. However, with the APs and dual enrollments, you may be ok simply because you display courseload with some academic rigor. Honestly, your case is tough one to assess. Your SAT is also good for UP but that only counts for 1/3 of the admissions decision. GPA is the remaining 2/3rds and Penn state will recalculate it based on their own weighting system.
What math classes are you enrolled in right now?
Calculus 1, I took AP Calculus AB my sophomore year and got a 4 on the exam but I didnt like the teacher so I decided to take Algebra 2 my junior year to prepare for the SAT, instead of taking Calc BC so rather than jumping into Calc 2 this semester at my local university after 2 years since calc I decided to take Calc 1 this semester and Calc 2 next semester. I plan to take the Calculus BC exam at the end of this year as well, mostly just to see how I’ll do.
Is that 86 unweighted?
