2 excellent recs.

i also plan on sending the uni a portfolio with a few writings. poems and general musings just to show more of myself since i wont be sending any sat scores.

ill be applying for either environmenatl or biochem…something in science.
so chance me up and will not sending SAT.will that affect addmission and aid.
oh yes i also need huge aid…around 40k$ atleast.will be applying as international student for fall 2013.

Others can explain more, but aid as an international is hard to get. Other than that, you have a very solid chance for admission.

Bard does give need-based aid to international students. And it also offers a full tuition scholarship for those choosing to major in the sciences:

“Each year, up to full-tuition scholarships for four continuous years of study are available for academically outstanding high school seniors who are committed to majoring in biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, or mathematics in their undergraduate studies. Additional financial aid to assist in covering remaining costs, such as room and board, may be applied for and will be awarded on the basis of need. Scholarship recipients are also eligible for a $1,500 stipend for summer research projects following the sophomore and junior years. Renewal of a DSS scholarship is contingent upon the students maintaining a 3.3 grade point average and continuing to major in one of the above-named programs. Applicants must complete the DSS supplemental application form in order to be considered for this award.”

I think the important thing will be to convince the admissions office that you’re truly interested in Bard College - not just because it offers aid to internationals, but because you’d actually like to attend the college - and would attend if offered a place - even if (if you could afford it) you were paying full fare.

Also, you mention wanting to major in science but your extra curricular activities seem weighted towards writing (for which Bard is a terrific school.) Are you hoping to integrate science with your writing interests?

@truntabler - Thx.I plan to try my hardest :)

@spritemanager - thx.ermmmm I guess.well I like writing but I love science.and if i can combine both then yay!

Don’t worry about not sending SATs. Bard honestly does not care about them at all.
