Hey, I am a senior in high school this year and I am applying to University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and Purdue. I was hoping to know what my chances were of getting into these colleges for chemical engineering. And I am an international student from Canada, and my ethnicity is South Asian. If possible, could you list some colleges that I can make my safeties as well.
I am at a really competitive high school and I took all of the hardest classes that my school offers. My un-weighted GPA is a 3.91 and weighted is around a 95. I have taken AP world history, AP US history and Human Geography, AP comp sci, physics 1, env science and psychology last year. And I am taking AP calc BC, AP lang, AP gov, AP macro econ, and AP Chem this year.
I took the SAT twice first time getting a 1930 (700 math, 600 CR, 630 Writing) and 2040 the second time (740 maths, 650 reading, 650 writing). My ACT Score was a 30: 35 Math, 29 English, 29 Reading, 25 Science. My class ranking isn’t that great (14%) because I moved my junior year and my AP classes from my old school weren’t weighted. And also I go to a really competitive public school.
