Schools:
UVa (out of state)
Georgetown (2 uncles went there, not sure if that makes a difference)
Columbia (aunt went there and does donate)
BC
UPenn

bumpity bump. anyone?

You definitely have chances at the schools you’ve listed.

Strong match at UVA, with BC a match/safety. Georgetown is somewhat hard to predict, but appears to be a match as well. You have a okay shot at Columbia and Penn, but hardest to predict, and you are a slight reach at these schools with your current SAT scores. You are a very solid, well-rounded candidate. You may want to apply for one of the (only 15 ?) merit-based scholarships at BC. I would definitely re-take the SAT again, unless UVA is your first choice.

thanks for the replies so far guys. Would applying ED to Penn increase my chances at all?

Most likely acceptance at UVA, Georgetown, and Boston College.

yeah, ED would definitely increase your chances. if you look at more stats, you’ll realize that college acceptance rates for ED ARE much higher than they are for RD. but make sure your ED school is your top choice.

also, if you’re going for UPenn as undecided, you might want UPenn CAS.

yeah i was thinking UPenn CAS

And I’m guessing I shouldn’t even bother putting down that my aunt went to Penn because she isn’t involved at all anymore with the school?

could anyone recommend any really good safety schools? i was thinking penn state and umass?
