I was wondering what my chances of getting accepted into these colleges are:
Dartmouth
Duke
Amherst
Carleton
Cornell
UPenn
WashU in stl
Wesleyan
George Washington U
Pomona

As of now, I'm leaning towards Duke ED or Amherst ED

Since my financial situation is bad, I would need almost full scholarships. Thank you very much.

Good chance at all the schools on your list except maybe Penn, Dartmouth, Duke, and Cornell

thanks. kiddo 64. If I did Duke ED, will it increase my chances greatly?

Anyone else? and do i have a good chance of getting a lot of money for financial aid/scholarships?

can i get one more opinion? please? your comment will be very much appreciated

Hmm I don’t think applying ED will make that much of a difference. The ED pool is the most competitive, so you’ll be competing against the best and the brightest. However, your stats are pretty impressive. It shows that you definitely have a passion for science; make sure to emphasize this in your essays.
Remember: sometimes it may be detrimental applying ED for people who don’t have stellar stats or amazing ECs because then your application looks terrible compared to all the amazing ED apps. ED is very, very competitive.

thanks Ambitious 19. It makes a lot of sense now that the ED pool will be the most competitive. I think I will consider my college choices and pick the one I love the most and apply there for ED

I’m looking at some of the same schools, too, but you’re definitely better off than me! Wow.

It’ll obviously be most difficult to get into Dartmouth, Duke, Cornell, and Penn. But with your stats, I think you have a pretty good chance at all four. Quite honestly, I don’t know too much about any of the other schools you listed, but I think you’ll be safe applying to them if they’re easier to get into than an Ivy League school, for example.

Hope I helped. Chance back?
