Chance Me & Questions on Cornell! I will ED.

Any advice is welcomed! I especially love to hear from current students at Cornell!

What is my chance of getting into Cornell ED? It is my dream school, but many people from my school feel that I should apply to somewhere else (like Yale, which I also liked a lot, but hey I feel out of place at Yale)

Now I go to a very prestigious and competitive high school. 60 people from my school were accepted into Cornell last year... uh, just saying.

GPA: 96.30%, UNWEIGHTED
SAT: 2220. 790 math, 700 reading, 730 writing. 8 writing. >_> dislikes SAT very much.
SAT math 2c: 760
SAT world history: 790
SAT chemistry: 740
SAT US history: 770

RANK: I am very sure that I rank higher than top 5% of my graduating class. Our #1 last year had 97.07%, so anyone with 96% is VERY rare. We have 726 students in my grade.

By the end of senior, I would have taken 9 APs and 7 honors. (I won't mention those silly honors classes here)

AP World history 5
AP Chemistry 4 [sad]
AP US history 5
SENIOR YEAR [NOW]
AP Mic & Mac
AP Lit
AP Chinese
AP Biology
AP Calculus AB
[I hope Calc AB doesn't make me look stupid, but I don't want to take BC or physics C and fail. I am not that great at math.]

**** I have more, but I don't want to write those unimportant ones here. I am not interested in going to a university with a GREAT NAME. I want to go to Cornell because I feel that it is a best match for me! [Definitely feel fit in when I visited campus twice, once with a private tour guide who graduated from my high school and is in Cornell] ****

Please help me decide on finalizing my ED for Cornell.

=== I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU CURRENT CORNELL STUDENTS!! BE HONEST HERE!!! I can handle a lot of pressure and work, and I am not afraid of living on campus at all. I am easy to get along and loves to have fun, but I hope the Greek life on Cornell isn't anything bad [haha, I will not drink excessively]. SO LET ME KNOW CORNELL THROUGH YOU, CURRENT STUDENTS!! Also, tell me which of the two schools would fit me more, please =) ===

Oh, last thing, I am a girl but is not a minority~

I would say you have an excellent chance of getting in. Everything you listed is excellent and it will help a lot applying ED and with legacies. I would be pretty surprised if you don’t get in.

Yeah, wow, I’m sure you’ll get in. Your application is great, I can’t see a flaw anywhere. Great job  and good luck!

If you apply ED, I’d put your chances at 80%.

Great chances ED. My sister is a current sophomore at cornell, majoring in PAM in the school of human ecology (one of the grant based schools with in-state tuition).
She says that there are some students who do study 24/7, but most are like her, who go to the library throughout the day to get work done, and have fun at night. She’s not a huge partier, but she likes to do some partying on the weekends. She says the sorority scene is great, and although she’s more of an introvert, she even considered rushing. She is currently living in college town with a few of her dorm mates from last year (she was in a single at Clara Dickson). Over the summer, she participated in a research job with her professor, earning pretty good money, and living in a co-op. She’s continuing with that research this semester and earning credits for it.
In high school, she was a moderately good student (ranked 8th out of 200), and she’s adjusted to Cornell quite well, earning a 4.0 gpa for both semesters.

Sorry, I really didn’t mean to brag at all (my sister and I aren’t even close!) Just wanted to show that the work at Cornell is indeed manageable, and extremely possible to maintain great grades and still have a wonderful social life.

I’d say you have a great chance at getting at getting in! :)

you sound like you like a good chance of getting in! would you mind chancing me? thanks! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/1213056-chance-me-applying-food-science.html

lol 100% IN. Not even 80%.
