I got 3 letters of recommendation from teachers that have known me for a while. Hoping my essay will be nice. I have to take subject tests in Math II and Bio M, so hopefully those will go well. Just wanted to know if I have a decent chance, since it is an Ivy and tough to get into. Thanks.

You have a very good chance.

Thanks, does anyone know what a good score range for subject tests would be?

For subject tests, I’d think scores around 700 won’t hurt or help you much, but aim above that if you want them to help you. I really hope you get in because you are a step above me in tests/EC’s, and I think you will get in.

You definitely have a chance, however RD engineering is extremely competitive, especially if you’re a male, so it’s impossible to say for you whether you will probably get in or not.

Yeah I read somewhere on CC that the acceptance rate is around 17% for males. Ugh, I wish Cornell had an EA option and not just ED and RD. Drummer, I hope we both get in!

^ sounds like you’re applying ED somewhere else and Cornell is a back-up for you…don’t make that obvious in your application! They don’t like that…

Not doing ED anywhere, don’t want to be binded to one school.

Bump!
