Oh and since Georgetown doesn’t have score choice, I should probably mention my horrible SAT1 and SAT2 scores I had to send in. Since my ACT is a 33 will these scores seriously hurt my application?:

SAT1- 1860 (580 CR, 660 M, 620 W)
SAT2s- Math 1-680, US History-640, Spanish-630, Literature-580, Chemistry-550

Erm, I would worry less about the SAT II scores and more about the SAT I score…is there any way you could get that up? I know it would be last minute…but that score is very rough.

the 33 ACT is great, but I would imagine they’d wonder what happened there with the low SAT scores (I & II)…

Yeah, I agree with the post above - those scores are very low. Did your parents go to college? Did they get advanced degrees? I’m asking because if they didn’t, your test scores might be viewed in a better light. Admissions officers expect the kids of college-educated parents to have higher test scores because statistically that is the norm. Either way, if you can, I recommend retaking the SAT I test.

I think your extracurriculars are great but I have to admit that your academics are below the standard. There will be applicants who have the same intensity of extracurricular activities as well as top notch grades and SAT scores, so competition will be tough. I definitely think you have a chance of getting in, and I can see your application being reviewed a few times before a final decision can be made. If you don’t make it in RD, I think you’ll make the waitlist. Good luck!

I talked to my counselor today and he said for at least the SAT1, they will just look at the higher score, which is the ACT. He says they’ll just disregard the SAT1. Now the SAT2s are a different story haha.
