bump

really need some opinions…just got rejected from my ED :(

Low Grades. Mediocre SATs. ECs okay. Mid reach.

@qwertyzxc I’m sorry but although i may not have a perfect SAT I’m still the 99th percentile…Hardly mediocre. My grades overall may be low but my freshmen year was an 88 and junior year was a 94 with 4 aps to give you an idea of my improvement…i’ll agree my EC’s arent what many on college confidential have but many on college confidential are future ivy league stars.

very harsh critique of my resume…a little offensive to be honest

If you would like to take a look at my supplement and ca essay to give you a better picture let me know

Good enough for NYU Stern. I’d bet on you!

Great stats! I’m pretty sure you’ll get in  Just do well on the essay! X

You’ll get in

Thanks guys! although my stats arent that strong i think they are stern worthy especially with my improvement. Anyone want to take a look at my supplement and give me some feedback? although i already submitted id love some opinions

@closetohome1 - I didn’t mean my post to be offensive nor am I calling you mediocre. Those are very respectable stats indeed. However when you compare those stats with the general stern student body you will find that - those stats are less than the average at stern - especially your Math II score.

I had a higher SATs & about the same GPA w/ the most rigorous courseload when I had applied, and I would call myself just about average at Stern. If you do get in - and I hope you do - you will find that many of the kids here are just extremely brilliant and on another level.

@qwertyzxc thanks for clearing it up, I’m aware my Math score and gpa at 3.6 is not as strong as it could be…hoping the upward trend helps. I think my supplement and CA essay were quite strong tho

Yeah, qwertyzxc was kinda harsh but closetohome you have a great chance. better than mine anyways

just wanted to update my 1st semester grades and get any revised opinions!
