Nominated as an Emory Scholar at my school (would this make a difference?)

EDIT: Biology major, pre-med if it makes any difference.

Just apply and see what happens. Chances threads are basically the blind leading the blind. None of us work for admissions, so we don’t know how viable a candidate you are. Make sure to demonstrate interest and you’ll be a viable candidate.

Congratulations on being nominated for Emory Scholar!
I don’t think a nomination makes a direct difference, but it does say your school is standing up for you.

Does your high school offer AP classes?

Have you paticipated in any arts or athletics?

Thank you!
Yes, by the end of my senior year I will have taken AP: Euro, English Lang, English Lit, Biology, Psychology, US History, Enviro Science, Government, Microecon, Physics B and Calc BC.
I participated in athletics my freshman year but unfortunately I had some really bad medical issues that didn’t let me continue I’m not even going to bother putting it on my applications. And I took Art 1 to complete my fine art credit for my high school, but I don’t think that counts.

I think you are very competitive. Good luck!
