Essays- not done yet. Honestly, writing a weak point. At best will have an average essay.

Recommendations- History teacher 8/10- really good but generic. IDK about the counselor one, but the other is written by my physics teacher and track/XC coach who ADORES me. probably 10/10

Weakness:
-Writing.
-my grade @ my school has a LOT of smart, outstanding students who have lots of awards and successes. Like, one of the kids was the guy who did the whole “if the gov changes it’s font, it’ll save 1million dollars thing” and got on CNN & in science magazine a couple years ago. Another kid one a national science competition and has a planet named after him. Theres also this one dude who’s an internationally ranked competitor in pokemon (haha it’s true but i just added this for laughs- he’s not even applying to princeton)

Other:
State- PA
Gender- female
Ethnicity- white
School: Public
Class size: 360ish
Hooks- bisexual/lgbt

@kittkatt835 great scores, grades and rigor. Any chance to get recruited for your sports? If not, your ECs, while many, aren’t going to set you apart from the other well qualified applicants. Your LoRs and essays will need to be stellar.

FWIW - I don’t believe bi/LGBT is a hook for colleges, certainly not for Princeton, which has an active community.

Good luck,
Psy

@psywar Thank you for responding! I’ll look into the sports thing  Haha I hope I can pull out a good essay… What does LoR mean?

@kittkatt835 letters of recommendation  cheers!
