Bumping…

SAT Math II- 760 not 740

Just for reference, these were the statistics for last year, cut and pasted from Vanderbilt’s blog:

"Some highlights of the admitted class include:

Middle 50% SAT (CR+M): 1440 – 1540
Middle 50% ACT: 31 – 34
% in Top Ten % of Graduating Class: 92%
Average Rank in Class (% from top): 3.8%
Overall Admit Rate (as of mailing day): 16.3%"

That should give you an idea of where you stand. Good luck!

GPA on midyear report

5.43 - Weighted
3.84 - Unweighted

bump

You’re not a strong applicant and not a weak one either. You’re somewhere in the middle.

Hopefully the scales tilt in your favor. Good luck!

Hopefully they do :)

Thanks wanderers…

how do you get a 5.43? at most schools, APs only weight to a 5 so even if you got straight As in all ap classes, your GPA would be a 5.0

I’ve taken 7 Dual Enrollment Classes, 7 IB classes (6 both Junior and Senior year), 2 AP classes, and all my other classes were either honors or pre-IB.

I don’t remember the exact weights given to each. This year I’m taking 7 IB classes and an AP. .3 jump in WGPA is due to getting straight A’s first semester

Honestly, i would say that you’re a strong applicant.
A little weak on the EC side, but your academics look good.

I’m assuming your UW GPA is on 4.0 scale, right?
