Chance Me--Rice, Cornell, Caltech and I'll chance you, as well.

Caltech is a stretch, I know.
I'll gladly return the favor...thanks!

Important: entering college at 16--probably worsens my chances.

Just wondering- how do you have a 0.0 UW GPA? I’m not trying to be skeptical, just curious.

But you have to be in at UT, since you’re in the top 10%. Rice I would say most likely, Cornell and Caltech are reaches for anyone but you’ve got amazing test scores so I wouldn’t be totally surprised if you got in.

Oh–lol, sorry, I actually don’t know what my unweighted GPA is so I left it blank.

The Yale internship is more through connections than academics, but I’ve gained some lab experience through it.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think you have great test scores, but your extracurriculars sound a tad generic. You are definitely qualified for all of the colleges above (Rice will be easy for you). However, Cornell and Caltech will probably want to find out more about you as a person. So, you will need to shine in your essay. Good luck! :)

I’d appreciate if you chanced me as well. :)

You should have np getting into Rice and Texas. Cal Tech is a reach and Cornell is probably a small reach - if you write a great essay you should be in there.

I can’t see any problem with you getting into Rice, none at all. UTAustin, same story. Cornell you should get into provided you do well on the essay, and Caltech might be a mid- or high-reach, just because you don’t have too many specific scientific ECs (Intel, major fairs, that kind of thing). Good luck :)

Although both scores are excellent, definitely send in your ACT instead of SAT if you can. Your ECs are pretty generic, so make sure you demonstrate how much they mean to you. With a great essay, you definitely have a good shot at Cornell and Caltech.

Rice: Match
Caltech: Low Reach
Cornell: Low Reach
UT Austin: In

I agree that Caltech is extremely difficult to get into, especially considering their low acceptance rate. Thanks for the responses.
