Buuuummmmmmp

Someone please chance me ;__;

UChicago - essays will make or break you here, but you’ve got good stats to be competitive.

MIT - Again, good test scores and such to have a fair shot. Deeper involvement in science/math may have helped more, but even so, if you highlighted your involvement in sciencey activities, you’ve probably got a decent chance, esp. with COSMOS and NASA.

I don’t know what your courseload is, but to be competitive at both UChicago and MIT (and all the other schools on your list), you should have taken the most (or almost) challenging classes available to you. I feel like numbers-wise, you’ve got a shot at any of them, but your essays, school involvement, school history in terms of college acceptances, etc. will factor in a ton as well. So I feel like you’ve got a good a chance as any other applicant - nothing that jumps out tremendously (national awards, etc.), but overall well-rounded and qualified.

I think I wrote a fairly good essay for Chicago.

I highlighted my other interests in my MIT app, though, and didn’t write any essays on my NASA internship. Will that break me?

I’ve taken the most challenging course load possible, I believe (with the exception of having taken regular US History instead of APUSH). My essays are shaping up to be pretty good, and last year I counted at least 20+ going to HYPSM.

Bump 10char

Okay fine this is my last try ;__;

I think you’ve accomplished some really tremendous things. COSMOS and NASA testify to a specific interest which is undeniably a plus, so I hope you drew attention to that.
Strong SATs and GPA, though not flawless, but I can’t see any board rejecting you based on academics.
Being Indian isn’t going to help you, especially at MIT where they’re flooded with Indian applications.

oh, so I see you getting in to one or two of your reaches + CM, USC.

Anyone else?

Legitimate final try if no one else responds!

Well, I got deferred by MIT =/
What do you all think of the rest?

I got into UChicago!
Chance me for my other schools, y’all :P

wow congrats on UChicago and good luck for MIT and the rest of your colleges

I’d say you have a fair shot at any college on your list.
