Hooks: None, sadly enough... I have a few connections to MIT</p>

<p>When you’re applying to schools (MIT, etc. ) who turn down students with 800’s on sections of the SAT and great grades, they could be improved a bit. Granted, mine are much lower, but then I’m not reaching like you are.</p>

<p>Just make yourself stand out incredibly in the essays and interview and you should get accepted into a few of your reach schools.</p>

<p>I completely understand. I know my chances for MIT are low, but I still hope haha. I am not going to take the tests again, I honestly don’t think there is much I could change (I have taken the SAT twice and have been cursed twice on the critical reading). My ACT is at the 75% mark for both schools, so that’s what I’m going to have to play with. I have no doubt that my essays will be great though, I am generally a good writer, and I have some stories to share that will hopefully work to my advantage.</p>
