anyoneeee?

GPA looks good, but the SAT could really hurt you. I strongly suggest that you retake it. As of right now, I’d say your chances are 50-50. Just out of curiosity, I dont mean to steal your thread, but what do u think of my chances for RU with a 3.0 and a 1990 on the SAT?

what are your ECs? thats a great good sat score, a college program my school uses that gives info bout colleges puts rutgers students average sat score at like 1700

bump!!!1!

please, anyone?

TCNJ is a high reach, whereas Rutgers is a lower reach. Have your courses been high level honors and AP? If so, your chances will be better. Definitely raise the SAT though, that should be your priority right now.

Both schools count the two parts… the average SAT score for Rutgers is about 1200 and TCNJ is closer to 1300. You are now at 1040…so Rutgers is a reach and TCNJ is a big reach right now. If you have some AP classes as part of your GPA that would help. Hey, you should still apply. You may want to also consider Rowan and Montclair, which appear to be more of a match.

sophmore year: honors english
junior year: honors english, honors history, honors band
senior year: honors english, honors band

will be retaking sats next time they are testing.

Rutgers-IN
TCNJ-very high reach

Take the SATs again…could help with your chances there. Good luck!

To be honest I doubt you’d make it. I was in-state and applied for Fall 08’ and was rejected. I had 2 AP classes and a good number of honors classes and had a 3.2 GPA and a 620M/520CR/490W and was rejected from the New Brunswick. If your looking at Rutgers your probably going to be accepted to the branch schools at Camden and Newark.
