Why do you even ask you have great grades and ec’s why don’t you try a few ivies and Nyu, Boston university, emerson, but you’ll definitely have a chance at rutgers. Also apply for American University if you have the money. But I think you have a chance at many schools.
I’m going to have to disagree with gean123, your SAT is lower than the average for Rutgers. Your gpa is fine though. But I don’t think your stats and ECs are competitive enough for ivies and nyu.
I would take the SAT again but the rest is great. Your SAT score might be fine and you will probably get in anyway but still, try to raise your score to be completely sure.
Also raising your score will get you into better schools or at least get you better merit scholarships.
@lonelymoonlight thank you for your comment! I’m taking the ACT next month so I’m hoping to do good on that!
@17scotts thanks for your comment!
@gean123 thanks for your comment!
Sorry weighted GPA
5.2/6
4.3/5
3.45/4
If that helps!
@Mike1999 Are you in-state? Your chances will greatly improve if so. The average gpa for SAS is from 3.6-4.0, so you should be fine. One thing, however, your SAT falls below for the average SAT scores. If you can bring it up to atleast a 1350, you’re set.
@ckent99 thanks for your comment! Yes I’m in state, hoping to get at least a 26 on ACT! (midrange was 26-31)
@Mike1999 No problem! Mike, you mentioned that the GPA at Rutgers is out of 4.5? If I convert that with 3.2 to the 4.5 scale, it comes around 3.6-4.0. If that’s true, same could be said about yours, which comes around 3.81 ~ 3.9.
@ckent99 yep! Just got to improve my test score! Thanks!
I think you’re definitely going to get in especially to SAS. Your stats are basically what they look for. All you can do now is continue working hard throughout your senior year, don’t slack so in the very unlikely case that they do reject you, you can appeal the decision by showing them proof of even stronger senior year grades but I don’t think you have to worry about that at all; you’re good.
You will get in, will probably get invitation to honors college and a scholarship. Even though their average sat is 1290, 70 points will do no damage. And your GPA is amazing, worthy of scholarship and honors college invitation.
@jtyats1114 thank you for your comment!
