Schools:
@Princeton-Computer Science
@Duke- where do I apply? CS or CE?
@NC State- engineering
@UNC Chapel Hill-computer science
@Carnegie Mellon-computer science
@Umass-computer engineering and computer science, (both?)
@Franklin w Olin.
@@@@@@Northwestern University. I really would like to hear about this one.

Also, would you recommend adding more safeties to this list?

Thanks! I'll be happy to chance back per your request.

Princeton: high reach (but it always is)
Duke: High match
NC State: probably safety
Unc chapel hill: match
Carnegie mellon: low reach(the cs program is very hard to get into)
Umass: safety
Northwestern: high match
you have a great GPA and very strong test scores coupled with decent ecs (especially the peru fundraiser), so you have a great shot at your schools!

Your SATs and GPA are about the same as my kid’s were last year, but your ECs are much better.

Princeton: high reach
Duke: high match
NC State: safety
UNC Chapel Hill: match
Carnegie Mellon: high match
Umass: safety
Olin: high reach (it is very difficult to get into)
Northwestern: low reach (last year, they cut back on freshman admissions to allow for more transfers - not sure what they’ll do this or next year)

Case Western wouldn’t be exactly a safety but a low match, especially if you showed interest. My kid is there now and likes it.
