Chance me @ Santa Clara University?

Hi there! I’m approaching the end of my junior year, and I wanted to see if someone could gauge what my chances were for SCU/recommend any tips for improving my chances?

These are my current stats as of the end of the first semester of junior year:

(Will be taking Capstone Seminar, Biology, and Language Comp this week; I’ve gotten 4’s on the practice exams based on the old AP tests released)

-Asian?
-Female in Computer Science

Extra Info:
-in state
-worked with the AP Calc B/C teacher to get our AP Comp Sci program up and running for next year (which I will be taking)
-took Harvard’s CS50 online course for newbies in Comp Sci

Based on those stats at this point, SCU is my dream school. I just need to finalize my college list by the start of summer, so I can start touring and draft applications. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Your SAT score is towards the bottom of the SCU range. I think the first thing you can do and should do is to get your SAT score up to a number over 1400. Find a good test prep school this summer. SCU’s CDS shows a 25-75% SAT range for last year at 1290-1430. Going from 1240 to 1400 is pretty doable, as most test prep schools are designed to get you to 1500.
