Chance me/SCEA

Reluctant to post this because I know that it’s a reach, and application is lacking in EC’s but still looking for thoughts. Here goes.

SAT: 1520 (800M; 720V). Took twice (790M; 720V first time)
ACT: 35 composite (35’s on Math, Reading, Science; 33 English)
SAT 2: 800 Math 2; 710 Chemistry
AP: 5’s on BC Calc (and AB subscore); Chemistry; Physics 1, Statistics. 4’s on APUSH and English Composition

GPA: 4.4691 weighted. Not sure about unweighted 3.8? 3.85? All A’s all 3 years and hardest rigor.

Current classes:
AP Physics C
AP Biology
AP Computer Science
AP Economics
AP English Literature
AP Pschology

AMC 10 and AMC 12: Highest score in school (sophomore, junior)

National Merit Scholar Commended
National Hispanic Scholar
AP Scholar with Distinction
National Honor Society
Scholar Athlete
Academic Excellence Award (all A’s freshman, sophomore and junior year)

Member of many academic teams/clubs. Physics Olympics, Moody’s Mega Math Challenge, Math Madness, Biology Team, Chemistry Team.
3-season athlete (cross country, winter track, spring track)

Boy Scout, currently finishing Eagle Scout project. Other leadership roles within scouts.

Community Service. Nothing too outstanding, however, Eagle project is at the same place as community service for the past 5 years and is a project that will improve the nature preserve.

Thank you!

@4togo4 good grades, good scores, good rigor. Hispanic demo will help you.

As you stated, generic ECs, while Eagle Scout is impressive, at least at Princeton I’ve found that not rewarded as it IMO it should be (this anecdotal, but over the years I haven’t seen many scouts make it in results threads, nor does my son know any at Princeton).

Essays and LoRs will be key.

Thank you @psywar . I agree–I’ve been searching for Eagle Scout as a boost to admission chances and have been a bit disappointed that I haven’t found much. Not sure if it’s valued more at some universities than others… Oh, and I calculated and it’s a 3.88 unweighted.

You’re a viable candidate with a legitimate chance.

Thanks @sherpa
