Chance Me - School of Cinematic Arts

<p>Just want to know what my chances are of getting into the School of Cinematic Arts .</p>

<p>3.5 UW GPA
SAT 2100
ACT 31
Race - Persian</p>

<p>AP's:
APUSH 4
AP Chem 5
AP Lit currently Currently Enrolled
AP Calc BC Currently enrolled</p>

<p>-I have my pilot lessons and have been flying for 2 years now. I am learning how to do aerobatics.
- 1 year JV soccer, 3 Years Varsity and 1 year as Varsity Captain
- Co Founder of the Film Club. ( We had Steven Speilberg come and speak and Jeffery Katzenberg thanks to my friends dad :) - I go to a private school full of rich kids)
- 2 online writing courses offered by Brown
- Co wrote a script that we are trying to get bought.</p>

<p>Also my Dad and my Older Sister have both graduate from USC. My Sister graduated from the school of cinematic arts. My Brother is also attending USC at the School of Engineering.</p>

<p>Sorry to disappoint, but there is NO way in hell anyone can be accurately chanced to get into the School of Cinematic Arts. So much plays into it, the only way to know your chances is just to apply.</p>

<p>To be honest, I’d work on getting your GPA up. But the thing about getting into SCA is it is all about talent and ambition. So keep doing film related stuff and submit some kick ass stuff on your supplemental application.</p>

<p>Oh, and do good on SATs.</p>

<p>Your GPA is below the average admit though your SATs are about average. Certain majors within SCA require portfolio submissions - those will have a huge impact. If you aren’t applying to one of those areas I think it’s safe to say that your essays and recommendations will be critical.</p>

<p>P.S. While it’s always nice to “do good” it’s more important to “do well” on your SATs.</p>
