Chance Me - Senior Year

Objective Stats
GPA UW/W: 3.7/4.3
SAT/ACT: 2040/30 (I am retaking both of these in the fall. I didn't study for either the test the first time, so hopefully my scores will vastly improve!)
SAT II: Just took U.S. History and Math 2.
AP: U.S. History (Waiting for scores)
School Type: Large Public
Class Schedule: Most Rigorous. During my senior year, I will be taking 5 AP Classes + my final language course which is honors.

Subjective Stats
Speech and Debate (9: Member, 10/11: Officer, 12: President) I also have several local awards and compete every year nationally. I have also won the team's "Most Dedicated" award several times. For the past 3 years, I have also coached another team.
Mock Trial (9/10: Member, 11: Vice President, 12: President)
Human Rights Club (10: Founder/Co-President, 11/12: Co-President)
Environmental Club (10: Co-Founder/Secretary, 11/12: Secretary) We have done some incredibly unique projects (fundraising + recycling) I also coordinated several volunteer opportunities, allowing members to earn 60+ hours of community service.
Volunteering @ Governmental Organization (300+ Hours)
2 Government Youth Councils (Highest officer position on both)

I spend nearly 30 hours a week on my extracurriculars. They are a huge part of my life and something I want to do in college.

Major
I would love to major in either Political Communications or International Affairs, possibly with a minor in Art History. :)

You will get into GW and lots of other schools with those scores and gpa, keep it up and dont do anything too stupid and you will be fine

Thanks amtp21! Any other thoughts? :)

Bump  I’d really appreciate some more insight. Thanks!

not high i say

Your Academic credentials and EC’s are certainly good enough to warrant your having sincere consideration at GWU. Good luck!

Yeah, so your gpa is solid, a 3.7 is good enough for many elite college (not including ivies or the best state schools)
Your sat’s are in the same category as your gpa
Your extra curriculara are what will set you over the top. Based on them, lots of colleges will view you as someone they want at their school
I got into GW, NYU, BU, Fordham and UMass amherst with a 91.6/99 gpa unweighted vs weighted
1970 sats, 740 us history test
Varsity baseball player who played in international tourneys, did some community service, sailing,
Chose GW and couldn’t be happier with my choice
You will do just fine when applying to schools
