Chance Me SFS

I want to go to school for International Relations/Politics of some sort so Georgetown seems like the perfect fit with a dedicated school and being in DC. I know my class rank and GPA are a little low so just wondering if I have any chance?

Essay: Explains why I stopped riding horses and apparent sudden shift in passion and pretty emotional
Letters of recommendation: Should be good Pre-calc teacher who I had for two years and saw me work to go from a mediocre math student to top of the class and taking two AP maths this year. AP comp teacher who loved me and I was the only kid in the class to get a 5 on the AP exam and a 100 on the Common Core exam as well.
Additional Info: Caucasian, male, both parents went to cornell

Georgetown, SFS specifically, like to see passion reflected in their applicant’s ECs and such, and I’m just not seeing it. You said you wanted to do IPOL/IR, but your ECs are all over the place and mostly concentrated during your senior year. That makes it very hard to figure out what you’re passionate about on the surface. Hopefully you can explain it more clearly in your essay, but it’s difficult for me to understand why IR. Ideally, you want strong ECs to make up for the lower-end GPA and SAT, so you may struggle in that sense. However, if your essay is as good as you say it is and it explains the rationale behind your ECs, that would help quite a bit. You said you wanted to take Spanish–how long have you taken it? SFS really likes to see foreign languages.
