I’m mostly worried because I literally only do 1 club but I’m heavily involved/have multiple leadership positions in it (I’ve clocked in about 300-400 hours during my entire time in Theatre… it’s a year round commitment). I was wondering if applying EDII would slightly increase my chances of getting into COM because I hear it’s one of the more competitive schools to get into… and I’m also completely in love with everything BU has to offer.

Please chance me I will chance back

EDII would give you an edge with your GPA, though honestly GPA + SAT assuming upward trend, you’d be solid for RD too. The thing with EDII is it’s not the best idea if you may have to decline due to financial reasons, and BU will likely take a look at that 150K income (reflective of last year) and not offer much, if anything. Thus, BU may be a better choice for RD from a financial perspective.

Thank you!! About finances… my parents are willing to pay full price for freshman year since BU is my #1 choice. But hypothetically speaking, if I do get in, would they offer me more aid in my sophomore year since my parents would no longer be making that much money? Thanks again for your reply

BU doesn’t guarantee to meet need, so I would not bet on that. You could get in touch with BU admissions to ask that specific question, but since they don’t prioritize meeting need in freshman admissions, it makes me skeptical that they’d be good about adjusting packages later.
