Chance me, s'il vous plait :)

Okay, ready? This is rather long.

Stats:

I don't know if it matters, but I am an Indian female from PA

GPA: (weighted estimate) 4.3; (nonweighted estimate) 3.6
PSAT: 211, probably commended scholar

SAT I (took it twice, these are my best scores on each section)

CR: 770, M: 670, WR: 730

SAT II
Math level 1: 660, World History: 720, Biology: pending, probably above 700s

APs:
World history -5, Biology - 4 or 5, English - 4 or 5, Statistics - maybe 3, i didnt do well on this one

Courses/Final Grades:
(after 9th grade I moved to a different school)
the grading scale at my old school was that A = 90-100, B=80-89, and so on
the grading scale at my new school is: A=93-100, B=85-92, C=75-84, etc

9th grade: Straight A's
Honors Geometry, Honors English, Honors Global Connections, Honors Biology,
Intro to Art, Orchestra, French 2, Phys Ed

10th grade: Straight A's
Algebra 2, Precalculus, World History AP, Quantative Chemistry, French 3,
Accelerated (Honors) English, Phys Ed. & Health Ed, Women's Choir

11th grade: (this is where I messed up and got 3 B's)
Statistics AP: A
Calculus AB: B-
AP US History: B+ (91%)
AP Biology: B+ (91%)
AP English (Lang.): A
Concert Choir: A
Gym: A
- I learned the French 4 curriculum on my own this year cuz it didnt fit

12th grade (projected courses):
AP English (lit.), AP Chemistry, Physics 1 and Physics 2 (both accelerated), AP Calc BC, AP Economics, AP French 5

-Concert Choir doesn't fit into my schedule because I added Physics into it. Even if I drop Physics 2 it doesnt fit. So i'm thinking about dropping Calc BC (because I know i'll probably do miserably in it) instead. I took two maths junior year, so will it matter if i drop math in 12th grade?

should have excellent teacher recommendations, or atleast one

Looking to get into (yes, i know it's a stretch):
Georgetown U
Cornell U
Harvard
Northwestern - esp. their Honors Program in Medical Education

might also apply to:
Princeton & UPenn & Duke

thanks in advance for your comments! :)

Georgetown- Match
Cornell- Reach
Harvard- Mega-reach
Northwestern HPME- Hell no. Sorry, but HPME is nearly impossible to get into even with a 4.0 and a perfect SAT.
Northwestern (non-HPME)- Low reach
Princeton- Reach
UPenn- Reach
Duke- Reach
Also consider:
UMichigan- Match
UIUC- Match
UArizona (safety)

Sorry, I forgot to mention that being Indian doesn't really help you in the admissions game, as Indians and Asians are over represented minorities at colleges.

Yeah, i figured being indian/asian wouldn't really help.. I am considering UMichigan as well, but I'll have to look into the other schools you listed there. thank you!

You might also want to look at Wayne State's MedStart program. It is similar to HPME at Northwestern, but admissions are slightly less competitive and you get some $$$. Here's the link: Honors - MedStart

Georgetown U - Match
Cornell U Reach
Harvard Big Reach
Northwestern Low reach/High Match
Northwesern HPME Big Reach
Princeton & UPenn & Duke - Big Reaches

thanks for the link smart.cookie! I shall look into that.
