I'm taking US Gov't and politics, Macroeconomics, Calc AB, English Lit, and Environmental Science in May.</p>

Varsity Golf: 6 years, Captain Senior Year. 4 Straight Championships
Orchestra: 9 years, principal bassist
Chamber Orchestra: 9 years, principal bassist
Jazz Ensemble: 7 years, principal electric bassist
School Newspaper: Layout Editor and political and current affairs writer, 1 year
Academic Team: 1 year
Set up assembly about cerebal palsy awarness
Civic Performance Conference on immigration at Stony Brook University
National Honor Society: 3 years</p>

<p>Volunteer Work:
Legislative Researcher for Congressman Steve Israel: 1 year, research paper on the genocide in Darfur.
Inter for Congressman Steve Israel: 4 years, the regular congressional intern stuff, phone calls, writing letters, etc.
Five Towns College Chamber Orchestra: Performed with Mark Wood of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra
2004 and 2006 Campaign worker for Congressman Steve Israel: handing out fliers, stuffing envelopes, etc.
2002, 2005, 2008 campaign worker for school board elections: handing out fliers, door to door voter interaction, etc.</p>

<p>Community Service:
Special Olympics Long Island Fall Classic 2008: Helped mentally and physicall handicapped play golf by being a rules official, scorer and skills competition aide.</p>

<p>Work Experience:
Colonial Springs Golf Club: 2 years, golf bag attendant. </p>

<p>I want to be a political science or economics major/French Minor.</p>

<p>Come now....you are kidding right? The question is whether you want to attend Fordham and if its just another acceptance letter for you to have around the house. </p>

<p>I'm sorry, but I get a bit tired of these kids with such high stats and EC's posting that stuff on this site. I am not denigrating your hard work and accomplishments. </p>

<p>You will get into Fordham and with merit money. </p>

<p>It is my view, however, that for Fordham to advance significantly towards its 2016 plan, and become a premier NATIONAL university, it must become less New York centric. It should recruit more heavily OUTSIDE of the region. There are tens of thousands of kids with wonderful stats and EC's out there. Many of them would consider going to school in New York (presuming we all survive this global financial meltdown), and Fordham would be on their radar screen if they were recruited or had information about Fordham. That is how ALL the big name schools got where they did: Notre Dame, Georgetown, BC, Tufts, NYU, Columbia and some flagship state schools. They did it by recruiting nationally. </p>

<p>And I think its good for kids to go away to college. Just my two cents. </p>
