Do I have a shot at getting in Stanford for early action? I'm in California btw and live about 30 min away from Stanford (I've been told this is bad).

These are the other schools I'm applying to. Feedback would be appreciated
Princeton
Johns Hopkins
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD

Can you be recruited for tennis? If not, Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and Princeton are all going to be high, high reaches. I’m only saying this because of your dearth of ECs.

No, there’s no chance at all that I’m going to get recruited for tennis. I realize that my ECs are somewhat lacking, but will that break the deal? Also what kinds of ECs am I missing (just curious)?

Bump for more opinions

Your scores are stellar and if you do get in, you’ll fit in to princeton/stanford/johns hopkins fine. That said, you are lacking in the ec category. Top tier privates are looking for very ‘unique’ ecs (like mission trips to africa or ceo of a company you founded etc). Try to play up the founding a business for charity bit? (idk i think this is semi common though). They are also looking for leadership, which is something your application lacks. The only kid who got into stanford from my school last year got in not because of his grades (they were good but definitly not valedictorian), but because he was ASB president. With Ivys/stanford they want to accept people who will be “successful”. Successful to them means confidence, leadership, creativity, and generousity/citizenship/community leaders; “uniqueness”. So even though your scores are stellar, they many times aren’t looking just for scores. Ivys kind of remind me of hipsters. They want increadibly unique music, and will sometimes ignore the best musicians simply because they aren’t underground and cool enough for them XD

As for the UCs, your in. Your scores and gpa should definitly get you a spot at each of those schools. UCSD should be for sure. UCLA and UCB should be likely.
