I know that my sat IIs aren't that great but will this hurt me that much? Schools say they look at the overall picture and won't reject you because of one factor unless it stands out as extremely poor. Will the tremendous strengths that I have in other areas compensate for these scores?

im not really sure what will compensate...
the IB scores <bio and="" history(spring)=""> don't come in until much later...
just write something about it in your essay</bio>

You have to keep in mind every other valedictorian is applying to the same schools, what makes you stand out? Your extracurriculars seem fine, but what shows leadership?

What's something you have that distinguishes you as a person?

That said, you've got a solid chance at any of the colleges you're applying to. I'd still say reach, because all of them are unpredictable, given the extraordinary variety and supply of their applicants, but you've got as much a shot as anyone.

I would think all the schools are reaches, but they are for virtually everyone. You seem to have a very good chance at one but also apply to a few state schools as match/safeties.

I'd guess that your biggest advantage is that you are from Montana. You have a shot, along with thousands of others--but apply to some less selective schools so that you have choices come April.

I'm taking the SAT IIs again in december so hopefully i can get three scores above 740 or so...i decided not to take the sat/act again though because the 32 that i have ranks in the 99th percentile and is analogous to a 2210 SAT score...isn't this a moderately acceptable score for a HP?
