Chance Me: Stanford/UChicago

The calc AB thing is because the math track at my school ends at calc AB and only seniors are allowed to take it :’( but thanks I really appreciate all the comments! I have received conditional acceptance from Glasgow and acceptance from Bellarmine and U of M - Twin Cities! If any of you would like chancing as well let me know!!

And I did figure out that I couldn’t do early to both so I had to switch Stanford to regular… :/

I don’t know much about Swarthmore or Wesleyan. Are they generous in merit type scholarships??

Bumpbumpbumpbumpbumpbump

As stated previously you need more in between safe and reach. Are any early? U Chicago just received 10,000 apps early action! A reach. Try Hopkins, Cornell, Kenyon, macalester, Grinnell, etc

Boston College good thought too

Just send ACT, not SAT

Holy crap that’s a lot of apps… And I thought I add a chance… Currently milking connections for hopes at UChicago though (becoming buddies with regional rep  and turns out my moms brothers friend is an administrator in admissions so yayyyyy). Stanford is looking bleak at best… I’m sort of concerned at this point that I don’t have any “realistic” colleges that fit what I’m looking for (in terms of intellectual viscosity)… :frowning: help? Bump?

what do you guys mean by outstanding EC’s? what are some examples of outstanding EC’s?

Your stats are on par for UChicago. A great essay would get you in. Stanford, I’m not sure about.

UChicago is a low reach, Stanford more a high reach. UChicago seems to be definitely a possibility though.

UChicago looks very achievable with a Low Reach/High Match here with a good application it will fall closer to the High Match.

Stanford is a reach for everyone school but without a doubt you have a great shot at getting in.

UChicago accepts anywhere from a 3.0-4.0. I’ve seen it happen…their essays are 50% of their admissions decisions.

You will get into Eastern Carolina as long as your name wasn’t spelled wrong. I think you have a good chance at Duke. There is no rhyme or reason to Chapel Hill, they pick students by reaching into a hat. No joking, but really, I think you are more qualified than people I know there, but also I know very very qualified students that don’t get it at all.

The others I don’t know about as well as I do for NC and SC schools.
