Strong schedule - but having strong grades is obviously the most important aspect. You’re going to be expected to have at or just under a 4.0 to be competitive at those schools.

LOL yea. just get a 98+ average in every subject, get 2350+ SAT, 35+ ACT, legit EC’s, AMAZING college essay, and you’ll be just fine.

What’s your unweighted GPA? What’s your race/ethnicity (unless you intend to omit)? What’s your class rank? What are your test scores?

My unweighted GPA is around a 3.9, my race is half Israeli half Polish/Russian. I don’t have test scores or a class rank at this time

All I can say is that Stanford is a reach, for virtually everyone. I’ve seen 2370, 98GPA, salutatorian get rejected from ED Stanford, so it’s pretty… risky. You seem to have a lot of EC’s, but I dont really see one that stands out… Try to build your ECs, and you should have a pretty good chance.

Hey, thanks for your reply. You don’t think the iphone apps business stands out? or being a writer for a blog with 4 million views a month or 2 non-profit organizations? What is an example that stands out?

Well, I don’t really know what you’re talking about with the iPhone thing cuz I’ve never heard of it before. And sorry, what I meant was when I just skimmed through your ECs, nothing really popped out. But now that I’ve looked at it more closely, it looks pretty good  I hope you get accepted!

thanks so much, means a lot. Hope you get accepted to where you want also. What i mean by iPhone app business, is that I create apps for the iPhone and sell them on the app store. No mean to brag but it’s a big deal  good luck

You look grade academically and your ECs are very distinct. Stanford is a bit unpredictable, but you have a chance! Get a high score on your SAT/ACT and you’ll do fine.

If you do well on ACT/SAT, you should be fine. Obviously, all HYPSM admissions are essentially a crapshoot, but your extracurriculars are focused and unique. I’m assuming that you want to do something technology related, so your technology ECs are beneficial.

thanks, you are doing very well yourself.

You ecs look fairly good though on your app you won’t really be able to list all of those. They limit how much you can really put down. I suggest you focus on one or two that you are really passionate about. Take the Stanford essays and responses seriously. I got a likely letter this year and my stats weren’t too amazing. If anything, they might be viewed as a little sub-par in comparison to Ivies and Stanford caliber. Remember that your stats dont really mean much if they don’t like your personality. Just be yourself and convey that through paper. Most people try to show that they’re super hardworking and dedicated and whatnot. Most everyone applying is. Keep that in mind. Find you niche and use that.

thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

youre classes/grades are average for stanford but i think your ECs make you stand out it shows initiative and interest in a select few things… obviously you wouldnt be putting “Youtube Reviewer” on your transcript but you have plenty of unique things thatll stick out!

thank you. Ya haha I won’t put it. I was just thinking of everything I can list. Have you applied to schools yet? Do you know how putting extra curriculers work? How many you can put? Do you have to put references?

^Yeah agreed. Also where are all your test scores? We don’t really need your schedule as much as we need SAT/ACT Scores, AP Test Scores and SAT Subject Test Scores.

ECs are okay, but where are the test scores and why are you taking such obscure classes? Also, the GPA is a little low frosh year, which could hurt you.

Honestly, I think all of those are reaches except for USC, UCLA and chicago
